Specific Prayers Bring Specific Blessings

Kumusta kayo?

It is a nice warm morning at 6:51 on our pday and I am sitting in a little computer shop before we head to SM Fairview which is a big mall here in our mission and we are going to go do some bowling which will be fun.

But this week was actually great. We really found the fruits of our efforts this week. We were blessed with 9 new investigators and 5 new baptismal dates. Now the date is just a goal for the investigators but at least they committed to a date! Elder Diso and I are really starting to get the work going in our area which was great. We visited a lot of less actives this past week and they committed to come to church! BUT they didint come haha thats kinda how it goes sometimes. We are doing our best to explain to them how important church is and some of them are starting to come back occasionally which is great. As we were searching for a less active this week ( and let me tell you it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to find address in this place. NO house has a number and if they do the house has the wrong number, so basically we just find the street or the "block" and just ask as many people as we can if they know the person we are looking for and eventually someone knows if we are lucky) and as we were searching for that less active we we asked these two girls if they knew him and they said yeah but he is in his province so we said "Oh... okay, well can we share a message with you?" and they said yeah go ahead we have nothing to do. hahah so we went ahead and we shared the restoration with them and they listened well. This past sunday Elder Diso and I set a goal to have 3 investigators at church and we really did all we can to get the investigators to come that we invited and then church came and no one came except our 10 year old investigator Noah whos legal guardians are members haha. (he is the kid in the picture) So as we were sitting in sacrament we kept getting texts from investigators saying they cant go. Well at least they texted right? But as we were sitting listening we looked to the doors and we saw some of our recent converts come in with two of their friends! THey actually told us about them last week and we expected to go visit them that sunday night but they came to church which was so awesome!! Its a couple and they have a little boy. The dad is actually pretty interested which is rare because not kidding most of the men in this area are VERY hard headed. But he was so thankful when I gave him a gospel principals and a book of mormon. And they are perfect investigators because our recent converts are their fellowshippers and they are neighbors so it works out really well for the support aspect! So the week ended well and we were happy and thankful.

So this week as I was doing companionship study with my companion we were watching an episode of the District and they were talking about involving prayer with planning and we thought of kind of a clever quote which might actually already exist but we havent heard it so we came up with it! it is SPECIFIC PRAYERS BRING SPECIFIC ANSWERS. So many of you might already know this but it is very important for us to remember. Too many times we all have experienced time where we get into wrote somewhat memorized prayers. But we need to remember that we have to be detailed with our heavenly father in order for us to receive detailed and specific blessings and answers. Thats what we tried to do this week is be more specific in prayers and we saw that heavenly father really does appreciate that and wants to help us more when we put more effort into our personal and family prayers. He can work better miracles. I know that if we do this we will feel more close to our father in heaven and he will bless all the more.

Well thats my report for the week and I love you all and again thank you all so much for the support!:) Have a great week:)

Hey.

Whats up.

I am good.

Sooooo this week was pretty good! So Elder Diso and I had a lot of streer lessons this week which was pretty fun! Because usually here in our area there are just big groups of people that just hang around and dont do much except yell "Hey Joe" at me. So this week I decided that every group that did that to me I would stop and talk to them and so I did. I did that about 3 times and each time I did I would share a little bit about the gospel. Then I asked if we could share more and they all said yes so Elder D and I had about 3 street lessons with about 15 people listening which was kinda of cool. I wish I would of had a picture of it. We always see weird things happening on the streets but this week I just saw this kid on the ground and he was kinda crying and he was wiping his barefoot on the ground and there was just blood everywhere. Turns out he stepped on a glass bottle. I just cringed and said "Stop stop dont do that!" And I picked him and I asked him where his house was and I carried him to his house and gave him to his mom. Man I felt so bad for him and he probably will get an infection, but I think he will be okay. The work is going pretty well. Training is kind of tough but it is fun. My trainee is a little afraid of approaching people on the streets but I am trying to teach him how to better do it which is funny because I still suck at the language and he is fluent but I am the one teaching him how to talk to people haha its seems backwards. Just last month I was the quieter companion but now I have to be the outspoken one. Quite the change. We had a "One Day" mission this week in our ward which means for the whole day we have people come from the ward with us to do some work! This one day mission focus was on finding less actives. We found quite a few less actives and set return appointments with them to go back and teach them. They all were so nice and I am eager to go back and help them out. So we only have one progressing investigator right now which kinda sucks but our area is a tough area and we are trying our best. But the investigator is a 10 year old kid that now lives with his Aunt and Uncle who are active members. The kids name is Noah and he has had a rough life. His mom was killed and his dad is on drugs. Most of his siblings have also been killed too but he is now in a safe home with the gospel. He loves church and loves primary. He is so funny beacaue he is so social and talkative a church but then when we teach him he gets sooooo shy. I just dont think he likes the attention haha but he is a great kid and he reads the book of mormon every day. We taught him the gospel of jesus christ yesterday and we used a fun object lesson. We told the story of a knight who wanted to go back to his castle (Celestial Kingdom) and he had to go through 5 main tasks. Faith, Repentance, Baptism, Holy Ghost, and Endure. It was a fun lesson and everyone laughed at my terrible drawings. But yes you all are probably wondering what is up with the subject of this email. So yesterday we got on the jeep from our house to our area and as we did the roads got backed up so we got off and started to walk. As we got up we saw a bunch of catholics just walking in the street like 500 of them and they were doing some worship thing but man! It was so much traffic and they were just walking in the middle of the road! So lame. This week will be pretty fun, we are going to the mission home tomorrow for our zone interviews and I have exchanges with one of my homies from New Zealand on wednesday and we are both new and both suck at Tagalog so I guess we will see how that goes! I love you all!

KUMUSTA,

Hello everyone and goodmorning! Or goodnight for some of you I guess. How is everyone doing? I hear there are some pretty sad stuff going on around the world which is terrible to hear but it just shows that the times are close. We all need to prepare yourself spiritually and physically.

So this week, Ill start with Monday. That was Pday and that was fun of course and that day we taught a less active named Bernard and he is 24. He is way cool and just has great faith. The reason he is less active is because the members of our ward. Our ward is kinda struggling right now, there is a lot of drama and some hurt feelings going around which sucks because first off I mean its church come on and we teach in our gospel to never judge and to love everyone. But of course people are not perfect so things happen. But yeah so we have been trying to really strengthen our ward lately and trying our best to make it better. But anyway Bernard is way cool and he was baptized in 2001 so yeah a long time. Our goal for him is to progress to get the priesthood and get to the temple so we have been teaching him a lot about that and he loves it. When we met with him on monday he was in Mosiah 20 and we went back to him on friday and he was on Alma 20! I was shocked man holy crap he is a boss and he understand everything and asks great questions!

Tuesday- Zone Training meeting which was good we talked a lot about how we can help each other more in the work and then worked later that night. Nothing too eventful

Wednesday- So there was this guy okay and he just came up to me and said hey where are you going?! And I told him and he just kept talking to me so I asked if we could share with him and he said yes so we said okay where is your house? And he started to lead us there which was kinda far so we are walking and walking and there are just a lot of people staring at us weird and I know that I am white and I stand out and I am really handsome but they were looking at us more weird than usual. So we got to his house which was down a really dark alley and I said to Elder Diso hey we arent going down there. So we said okay brother actaully we have to get going we will come back some other time and we gave him a pamphlet and left. But we looked behind us and he was just following us. Then we took a turn down an alley and we thought we had lost him but yet again there he was. So my comp said to him Okay brother we have to go because we have to teach someone so we will come back another time! and he said okay okay sounds good! So we kept going but he kept following us! So we walked faster and faster then turned down an alley and just ran to a members house hahah it was so crazy. He was nice and seemed harmless but man he just kept coming.

Thursday- Stressful day. Had a lot of high hopes for appointments but they all fell through:( That happens a lot haha but I just gotta keep going and trying.

Friday- Weekly Planning. Blah it takes so long but it is important.

Saturday- I am really sorry but I really dont remember what happened that day haha

Sunday- I loved sunday. We had a good day at church and got a referal from a member and we began teaching him. His name is Noah and he is 10. He lives with the member because his mom was killed and his dad is on drugs. Very sad but now he is with a great family and going to grow up in the gospel. He has gone to church the past few weeks and he is loving it. He is very very shy but he started to open up towards the end and said a great closing prayer.

So there is my week. Sorry my emails kinda suck. They will get better and I will try to make them good for you guys. SOrry no pics this week because I didint take any. But I love all you guys and I miss you all. Thanks for all the love ans support:)

Have a great week!

Love the dakilang pogi Elder Webb:))))
Hello everyone:)

I hope everyone is doing great and doing fun stuff!!! So first I will explain the pictures. I took a cool majestic picture of a cat, that is a little Filipino kid in water, thats me in my awesome new barongs. (very fancy filipino shirts) And then Marvins baptism! So dang this week has been pretty awesome but pretty tough. I am a trainer right now and that means I am basically in charge of my whole area because my new comp doesn't know much and I am responsible to teach him everything! So it is pretty tough haha. But my new comp is cool! His name is Elder Diso and he is from Dagupan which is in the Philippines. He is a dilligent worker but he is not used to missionary work and all the walking ahah but he will get there!! We had a lotttttt of appointments fall through this week which makes it kinda hard for me because I have to have all the back ups in mind. But I know this is really pushing me and I am learning a lot. But yesterday we found some awesome 2 ladies who are very interested and they are eager for us to come back and share and share with their whole family so I am hoping and praying everything goes well with that!! I am starting to see myself worrying less about myself and more on the work and my companion. Being a trainer is a very humbling experience. I just really hope I am being a good trainer to my comp and helping him the best that I can.

It was super hot this week, lots of sweat haha. But I like the heat and it is ten times better than Minnesota weather so I cant complain I like the weather. Except in the apartment sometimes it gets so hot and their is no wind so I just need a fan pointed at me constantly.

So Marvins baptism was awesome! What a great example for everyone involved. He was an investigator for 5 months. But he finally became fully converted and he is happier than ever! He is getting along great with the ward and he loves life! He had a great testimony after his baptism and he even cried. He is so thankful for the gospel and the missionaries in his life. I am really proud of him and I am glad I got to be a part of his spiritual journey.

So things have been great but hard. But this is only the beginning of my mission and things will get harder but so much better especially when I fully get the language down. Thank you all for all your love and support always! I love you guys!

Elder Webb Embarks as a Trainer

Hey everyone,

I AM GOING TO BE A FATHER. I am training a new missionary this transfer. I am terrified to say the least buttttt I know I can do it. The Lord calls inexperienced people and I know with His help he is going to bless me and me and my new son are going to do great work! So I now run the University Hills Ward area with my new comp. I meet him tomorrow so I dont know if he is Filipino or American or what. But I hope that he is Filipino because I am not too confident in my language skills quite yet! But I am very excited as well to be able to have this opportunity from the Lord. It is going to be hard work but I just know that I can do it. There isnt a doubt in my mind that I can do it because If I work hard the Lord is going to do the rest. So please pray for me and hope for the best!

So this past week was pretty bad for the work because we had an early curfew on saturday and sunday because our area gets too dangerous. Also my current companion doesnt really want to work that hard because he is transfering and he has been in this area for a long time. But we had a great work with our investigator Marvin! We had an awesome FHE with him which is the picture below. He passed his baptism interview and he will be baptized this coming saturday! Yay we are so happy for him. He is really growing a lot in the gospel. He even has a desire to serve a mission! THe other day he said Elder Webb can I serve a mission? I said Of course! And he said YES! Hahah he is great I love the guy. We had some great lessons with him this past week and he is ready for baptism. We had a another investigator attend church this past sunday for the first time her name is Precy. She is great and has a strong faith in the gospel but she has a job position at another church right now so that is kind of a problem haha but we are working with her and she said she would attend marvins baptism which is great.

SOrry this letter was kind of short but there is just not much to report on this week but there will be more to come next week after my first week of training a greeny

Love you all!

I am confident that Elder Webb’s knowledge, obedience, and enthusiasm for the work of the Lord will be a blessing to his trainee as he helps him begin the path to becoming a Preach My Gospel missionary.

Sister Bertin and I are grateful for your son’s dedicated performance, his strong testimony, and his willingness to work hard to bring about success.  We also appreciate the love and encouragement you give him.  Thank you for sending such a dedicated missionary to serve with us in the Philippines Quezon City North Mission.

Yo,

Hows everyone doing? Its hot here. Like really hot. But hey thats okay I love it. This week turned out well. It was my turn to lead the area and I was pretty nervous about that but everything turned out pretty good and we got 30 lessons and some new investigators which is great. We also had a great week with our progressing investigator Marvin. But he gave us a little scare. So we have a weekly time we meet with him on saturday and we went over the baptism questions with him and he did great! We told him we would pick up for church the next morning. So we went there the next morning and we knocked, no answer. Then we knocked again, no answer. We stayed there for about 15 minutes knocking and waiting but no answer. So we sadly walked to church without Marvin. But then a little bit into sacrament meeting we see marvin sprint through the gate into the church grounds hahaha. I felt relieved to have him there. He is awesome. We are having an FHE with him on saturday and hes excited about that. He is also going to institute this week! He is very different since the first time I met him. He is a lot more social and happy and he is a funny guy! The rest of the week was good and kinda busy. This week we have to come in at 6pm on Halloween because our area gets crazy on that day. Transfers are coming up soon, which means my training is almost done!! yayyyyyyy. That means I could stay in this area and lead it (I dont want to do that) or I could transfer to another area! (I do want to do that) So I guess we shall see!! Today we went to a zoo for pday and it was pretty sweet actually. I got to hold an anaconda and that orangatang! So that was sick. I am starting to get a little better at the language. I am starting to understand people a bit better! But I dont want to jinx it. I had a lot of cool experiences being led this week by the spirit in our area. One funny story that I had was when we were looking for this guy we contacted a while back. (incase you didint know it is almost impossible to find peoples houses by their address here) So we were looking for that guy and we just couldnt find him so we knocked on this door asking for directions, and a lady came and told me what she thought but then I took that as an opportunity to open my mouth and share so I said "pero sister. missionaries kami! Mula sa simbahan ni Jesukristo ng mga banal sa mga huling araw! Okay lang ba makakapagbahagi kami sa inyo?" Translation- But sister, were missionaries! From the church of jesus christ of latter day saints. Is it okay if we share with you? I completley thought she would just say no or the famous "next time" But she just said yes. And I said really? and she said yes! So we shared with her! It was awesome haha. So there is my letter for the week sorry that it was a little short! But I love you all!

Dont worry. I am okay.

Hahah so I guess you guys all heard about the typhoon. It really was not bad at all where I was. Usually everytime it rains hard here it floods but there were no floods in our area so that just shows how the storm wasnt even bad. It has be pretty windy but it has been so nice because when its windy here its not as hot and the breeze feels soo good! But filipinos seem to be afraid of the wind here but I love it haha. So this week was pretty good. We had my first Zone Conference and that was just a full day at the mission office with some workshops from the President the APs and the zone leaders. It took like all day so we had no time to work when we got back to our area because we had to watch the priestood session of conference because we didint get the chance to watch that last saturday. But we had a lot and a lot of appointments fall through this week. We did a lot of OYMs which I personally really like. I think It is fun to just randomly talk to people and try to share the gospel with them even though I can barely speak I still try my best. So when sunday came around is when the "typhoon" hit. It was really rainy outside so when we went to church there was only 35 people in attendance haha so it was quite awkward when we all had to sing without a piano and you could hear everyone that was off key and stuff but it was funny hahah. We have an investigator named Marvin right now who we are working really hard on to get baptized. He is really cool and we had a great lesson with him last week about why he needs to come to church, read, and pray. He took it well and he came to chruch even in the typhoon and he was really happy. I can tell a big difference in him from when I first met him. You can see how the spirit touches his heart when he comes toe church. He says hi to everyone and smiles the whole time. He is great and I am glad to be able to help him out in his life the best I can. I hope everyone back home is loving life and getting ready to embrace that terrible winter weather hahaha suckersssss. I love all of you and pray for you always! Have a great week!

Heyyyyyy wazzzzuupppppp,

This week was pretty good since last Wednesday! It was our General Conference week!! It was amazing! I hope everyone got the chance to listen to the amazing talks given by everyone! It is kind of embaressing to say but I think this is the first time in my life that I have ever watched alll of General Conference. BUt anyways SO I want to share some of my thoughts on the talks given. I loved Dieter F Uchtdorfs talk about people who are happy in the gospel because they accept the simple things and dont dig too deep into it. I often over look the simple things and start to question things that I already know. That is satan trying to distort your thinking. I loved how he said take time to think after your prayers and ponder and listen to the holy ghost. and ask yourself where you want to be and really think about how you can get there and how the holy ghost will help you get there. He said "We are the pilot of our own plane" (of course he used that because he loves planes) But we really are. We decide what we think, do, act. We even choose our own salvation as it says in the scriptures. That leads me to another thing said by our Prophet that "The choices we make here are forever important" I love that.

I also really loved the talk by Larry R Lawrence talk about "what lack I yet" This is a great question that we can always ask. I especially wonder this on my mission because there is always room for improvment. Pray and ask god waht we lack and then humbly wait for an answer. So I tried this really really wanting to to what I lack and so I asked. I didint really feel a forsure answer like the examples given by him in the talk but for some reason my mind kept going back to thinking that I need to focus more on Tagalog. I still really didint think that was a forsure answer because I am always thinking about tagalog and how I can get better haha but as I read a letter from my dad today he talked about the language so I am taking that as my answer from GOd is that I need to try harder and focus more on the language.

Vern Stanfill

I loved some of the things he said.

"No matter the darkness of doubt we decide how long it stays" Sure we all feel doubt some times and fear but with the gospel and Jesus christ we dont need to doubt or fear. Doubt not Fear not (DandC 68:6) That is my favorite scripture. He also said "doubt your doubts before you doubt your faith" I love that because satan tries to tempt us and make us doubt. But doubt those doubts first before you question your faith.

Lastly I loved loved Devin G Durrants talk! IT was great! I am going to take the challenge that he gave us by ponderizing a scripture every week. This is such a great way to get to know the scriptures more and really trying to understand them and their meaning for us. He also said that "when we use our mind to ponderize a scripture, we have no other room for filth or bad thoughts in our minds." So when we have a bad thought just think about your scripture for that week and ponder it.

Conference was great and I am so glad to have been able to watch all of it. It is so cool to have seen the 3 new apostles been sustained and I know they are called of God and they will do great. I know that all those that spoke were inspired by god and they spoke on things meant just for us. I had a list of questions before conference and most of them were answered through those speakers. It is amazing how god works and It was so cool just to feel the amazing spirit they all brought!

Well I hope everyone has a good week this week and does something to help someone else and increase their faith in christ and the gospel! I love you all!

Hello everyone:)

This week was pretty great! It has been a while since I have written because our Pday was pushed back to wednesday because we had our temple trip today! But this week was soooo tiring. I really dont know why but I was just tired all week haha man it was tough. I also had some exchanges with the zone leaders and that was way fun. I went to their area and it was fun to see a different part of our zone. It was pretty close to the manila bay and it was weird and cool to see the ocean. One of the people we visited in that area lives in this tiny tiny hut thing and its just plastic and wood. But they were so HAPPY and they just smiled and smiled and loved having the missionaries there. That just goes to show that we seriously dont need material things in this world to be happy at all. Yeah they are fun but they are so useless to our plan of happiness. I just loved seeing that couple smiling so much in that tiny house listening to our short message. The people here are really great. How was General Conference?? It sounded awesome. I will get to watch it this weekend! Because they show it a week later here because they cant stream it live. I am not sure why. But I am more than excited and I am just going to sit there all day and take notes and learn how to become a better person! We have been inviting all our RCs LAs and investigators to come so hopefully we will have a good turn out! It would be such a great experience for them to hear the word of our living day prophet. Today was such a great day at the temple. I love it and it truly is the house of God. I felt the spirit so strong and I just loved being there. Earlier this week we went to the house of our investigator for an appointment and she told us that we were answers to her prayers. That felt really good to know that we truly were sent there by God. He plays such an active role in this work. We met with our most recent convert yesterday and she has two little girls one is 4 and one is 2. They are so cute but they are so loud and distracting and kind of annoying sometimes haha. They are very demanding and get what they want haha. The 4 yearold loves me and always wants to sit in my lap and she talks to me a lot in Tagalog and I most of the time just dont know what she is saying haha. And the 2 year old man she is a handfull. I always have a pen in my shirt pocket and she KNOWS that I dont want her to take it but everytime I go there she reaches for it and then I cover my pocket with my hand and she just laughs at me and says "no no no" because she know that I dont want her doing it. She tries to take all my stuff and hide it and she grabbed my umbrella the other day but I took it back and she didint like that so she spit in my face hahah not just a little kid spit but a full on wad of spit right in my face haha. But its kinda cute at the same time and she is just a little girl so its fine. But that recent convert is great. She just got baptized 2 weeks ago and she is already in Alma 40. It is so inspiring to see our investigators and rcs really read the BoM and it is motivation for me to always read. So I invite everyone reading this to read every day! Dont let a day pass that you study the word of God! It is so special and has so much to offer us! Well I love everyone and I am glad to be Gods missionary here in the Philippines! Turn to God always because he is there waiting to help!

Hello family and friends,

How is it going? Im doing pretty good over here!! Its hot. and there is a lot of rice.

This week was pretty good. We had a lot of lessons and a lot of work! I had my very first baptism!! What an amazing experience that was. It feels so good to know that my efforts played a small part in the conversion of one of Gods children. Now she is on her way to the eternal life and the celestial kingdom. It really was a great service and her testimony was so great. We had one of our recent converts baptise her and I think he really enjoyed the experience as well. So this is a new transfer and we got a new roomate from New Zealand and he is really cool. He is a trainee as well, brand new in the mission!! So I am not the newest in the mission anymore! The work is going pretty well, we have some new progressing investigators which is great and we are continuing to find more! This work is really special and I am glad to be a part of it. Let us all try and be missionaries because its not just for full time missionaries! All members of the church should put forth their efforts in helping heavenly fathers work! I know as a missionary now how important the ward is to missionary work. So help out the missionaries in your wards! I feel like I have already said this but I am going to say it again anyway! Sorry this letter is really short but I have to go! Hopefully the pictures will be good enough for this week! Talk to you next week!

Dear family, friends, and anyone else that cares about me!!

Thank you so much for all your love! I truly feel it all the way over here in the Philippines!!

So my first transfer is done! BOOM. How was it? HARD. Hahah its way hard but it was also was really fun and I met some great people! Since I am still in training I will stay with the same comp and in the same area so not much changes for me. But I will probably get a new roomate or two and have some new faces in the zone so that will be cool! Our work was okay this last week but we found some new great people to teach and I can feel myself getting more involved with the lessons we teach which is great because I want to be good at the language so bad and really express everything I feel!! We have a baptism coming up this saturday! My first one! I am so excited for Elsie Salinas and her family! She is setting a great example for them!

So this week my patience and my faith was really tried. Like it says in Ether 12:6. Its essential! Even though I am getting a lot of challenges and it sucks haha but I am still greatful because I am growing! I am really trying to just become the missionary that God wants me to be! So I just kept my faith in Him and prayed a lot and I can feel him helping me and answering my prayers! It is amazing what he can do for you if you just put your trust in Him and do your best,

This week wasnt too eventful, We had a fun pday last week. We had a zone activity and we went bowling! I did pretty well. I have lots of pictures but I dont have a way to upload them yet so just be patient!! But there are some great ones. Its hot here as always. About 95 everyday. I am kinda getting used to it by now and now I am afraid that I will come back to the states and freeze my butt off. I constantly sweat so I bring a rag around with me to wipe my face haha. There isnt too much to say about this last week and I wasnt very prepared so I apologize for that but I will get a better email next week!

Have a great week everyone!

Love Elder Webb:)

Hello Family and Friends!

I hope all is well back in the US. Everything is going good here in the hot country of the Philippines! For anyone that wants to know I am in Caloocan City in the University Hills Ward. Its great! I had a pretty great week this last week. It was my first time having zone interviews and we had a lot of great workshops from President Bertin and the APs. They talked about involving the members in missionary work. It is so important to involve the members in the work. It is actually essential. Investigators and recent converts NEED fellowshippers from members. So I challenge everyone reading this to get involved in the work in your wards! The missionaries need your help! Its hard here in the Philippines to get a lot of people involved but we all need to contribute to make our wards better!

I also had a very interesting lesson this week. So this girl from our ward is dating this guy from Austria and he is not a member. They have both been coming to church the past couple weeks. So my trainer and I went to go visit them. He knows German and English only. So guess what... I GOT TO TEACH IN ENGLISH! It was awesome haah! I finally got to fully participate in a lessson and understand everything that was being said! It was a great lesson. We talked about faith and about how through faith our prayers are answered but only according to our faith. So thats also a lesson in itself for us. We all need help from our Heavenly Father. I know I sure do! I need soooo much help everyday especially with learning the language. So what do we do when we need help? We pray! And it works! BUT our prayers are only answered according to our faith! So everyone that faces trials, (which is everyone) Have faith that god is going to help you and then your prayers will surely be answered! But only on the lords time! We have to be patient! I have to be very patient with learning Tagalog. So I wrote down this awesome quote from President Monson -  "Life is full of difficulties some minor, others of more serious nature. There seems to be an unending supply of challenges for one and all, Our problem is that we often expect instantaneous solutions to such challenges forgetting that frequently the heavenly virtue of PATIENCE is required" I love this quote! It is so amazing and I read it everyday. We have to have patience in this life or we are going to drive ourselves crazy!

But Im starting to see a very slight increase in Tagalog which is good! An American Missionary here says that Im doing a great job in my studies and says Ill be really in good in like 5 months. I hope that is true! I really do work hard at it! I want to talk to people! You know me I love to talk and be with people! So it sucks that I cant right now haha but It will come!

I got some of my clothes fitted and I look wayyyy pogi. (handsom) Ill attach a picture below.

Sunday was a great day. I really prayed for our area to get better and for me and my comp to have more investigators and we got 4 new investigators yesterday! It was awesome we had some powerful lessons on the restoration! Prayer and fasting is amazing! After one of our investigator lessons we walked about 5 feet and some lady said Hey! And I said hey whats your name? And she said Rose and I asked her if we could come back sometime and share a message with her and she said why not right now?! SO me and my comp had another lesson right there! Hahah it was really awesome. After that it started pouring rain and my comp forgot his umbrella so I just didint even use mine so he wouldnt be the only one wet. We just marched through the pouring rain and sang!

My favorite investigator Marvin came to church for the second week in a row this week. Hes 19 and I love that guy! I cant really communicte with him well but we always sit next to each other at church and have a fun time. Hes really awesome! He has a hard time coming to church sometimes but I pray and hope that he will continue to progress and enter the waters of baptism.

So this week will be pretty fun, I have exchanges with the District Leader and I have 5 week training at the mission home. So I will update on that next week.

I am so thankful for my loving family. I was reading the second principle of the restoration and its about the gospel blessing families. I know because of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ my family is so amazing. THe Gospel makes my family so wonderful! Im glad im homesick sometimes because it just means I have such an awesome family!
