January 25, 2016

Hello everyone,
I hope you all had as good a week as I did. Well throughout this week I kind of figured it was my last week. Which was risky because I easily could of stayed. But we had our zone conference last Wednesday. Which is 2 zones together to listen to workshops and stuff. It was pretty good. Friday came around and thats when all the potential trainers get their phone calls so my comp was expecting a call which I dont know why haah but yeah he didint get one. So saturday was my favorite day. That was the day of Michael Salinas baptism. I had the honor of being able to baptize him:) That is my first baptism of me performing it and what a great experience that was. I also taught Mike from the beginning which was even more of a cool experience to be able to baptize the guy I taught all the way through. He is so excited to be apart of the church now. After his baptism he just said thank you and hugged me. I asked him what his feeling was and he said that where were no words to describe it. That baptism was definitely the highlight of my mission so far. After the baptism we all went out to get some food at a place called Chow King. IT was a memorable night and I will never forget it. I will miss the people I have met in the University Hills area. They will always have a special place in my heart.

Sooo YES I am finally transferring! I have been in Caloocan for 6 months and now I will be transferring tooooooo BALIWAG. Now I know you guys dont really understand that so I will try to explain. Baliwag is the farthest zone in the mission from everything haha. It is clear up north. Not only is the zone the farthest but specifically my area is the farthest area away. San Miguel. This place is the opposite of where I am now. It is green, it is clean, it is beautiful! I cant wait to head up there. I can finally get rid of this pollution cough I have. So yeah, now that I am done training I am not a trainer anymore. I guess President trusts me enough to call me up to be a new district leader... So I am now District Leader up in Baliwag which is like my dream right now haha. I am very excited. So tomorrow I get on the bus and take about a 4 hour ride up to my new area. So after I heard the announcements I was so excited. But later on that night the ZLs called and they had an addition, I will be opening an area. I dont know if you guys know what that is but, the area I am heading to the previous elders there were taken out so right now there are no Elders there and me and my new comp will both be new in the area which means we both dont know anything about it. Hahaha so that will be a challenge. But I know I can do it. So that is basically all the big news I have. These next few days some members have invited me to go eat before I go and they are making me some awesome food so I am very excited for that. But yeah I leave tomorrow morning and head up there.

Also we had a special announcement from the mission last week and on February 19 we will be able to have the pleasure to have Russel M Nelson come speak to our whole mission. That will be a great experience to here that and for our whole mission.

So yeah! I hope you know I love all of you! I pray for ya always. I will email you next week in my new area!

Love Elder Webb

ps. I burnt a tie for my 6 month mark.

Week of Teaching

Hellllllllooooooooo:)

Its hot here, its cold there, its day here, its night there, pretty much the opposite eh? But yeah this week was way busy but a good one. We hit the most lessons this week than I have ever gotten here. Which was very rewarding because we were in top gear the whole week. Well we have some great progressing investigators right now. 2 came to church yesterday and one of them is going to be baptized this saturday so that is always so exciting! One of our progressing investigators right now is actually someone that I approached on the street and now she is working to towards baptism and I really just love that and it makes me very happy. We are also working with a lot of less actives who are starting to come back to church, they are tough sometimes but it is great when they come back to church. All of our recent converts are fully active and doing great. That is one of the most important things to me, making sure the ones we baptized stay active.

I think my time is coming closer to an end here in my first area, transfers are next week and I think I will be heading out of here. I am excited to go explore more parts of this mission that are hopefully not so much city.

Sorry this letter is really bad, I need to take some more time writing in the future. My thoughts just go blank when I come to the computer. But they will get better.

I love you all have a great week.

Ps. I dont have pictures right now because my SD card got a virus and got completely wiped soo yeah that sucked.

Any ways love ya

Elder Webb

I helped an old lady cross the street!

Hey guys:) Sorry its been a while since I have been able to write because it has been a pretty hetic schedule with all the holidays and such and I am sure it has been the same for you guys as well! Well Christmas was okay here! We really did not do much. I skyped and then we went home took a nap, went to a members house to eat then just came home and hung out again. Haha very uneventful. Christmas eve was the most fun Elder Kirifi my roomate and I just were up on our roof throwing toys and stuff to kids it was fun. They really loved it and there were a lot of dancing and christmas carolers it was a lot of fun. So my companion got really sick for a couple days. He had a high high fever and was just dead in bed basically haha. So that left me for myself in the house for a couple days which was really boring. I really just read all day and kinda just sat, it sucked haha. Oh yeah. My subject of this email. I helped an old Filipina lady cross the street! Just like you see in the movies haha it was awesome. I held out my arm to her and she grabbed it and I took her across the busy street!! I can cross that off my bucket list. So yeah we had some good lessons this week. One investigator in particular who is doing really well is Mike Salinas. He is the cousin of Elsie Salinas (my first baptism here) He is progressing really well. We just taught him the word of wisdom which we thought he would have a problem with but he took it really well and agreed to live it. I have really enjoyed teaching him, he is a funny guy and just always has a great attitude. So yeah last night was new years eve and hoooolllyyyy cow.... It was NUTS here. Especially here in the city it was just crazy. We had a curfew of 5 but we kinda wanted to go in earlier because there were so many drunk people and they were just lighting off "fireworks" they werent really fire works they were just basically bombs haha they were soooo loud! But once we got in it was fun. Our new roomate Elder Guilermo is a good chef and he made a lot of food. Chicken Curry, pasta, and our neighbors gave us a lot of food as well! So we took a table and chairs up to the roof top and ate some food and had some music and it was a good time. Then we went back inside and I fell asleep but I woke up at 11 because it was SO loud outside so we went back to the roof until midnight and man was it crazy haha. There were firworks everywhere and music so loud and just people everywhere it was seriously nuts haha. But after that we just went inside and I tried to fall asleep but it was hard because the firewroks would not stop hahah. So the next transfer date is on january 27th and I think I will be transfering but who knows I might stay another one. Okay I am trying to attach pictures but it is not really working so maybe next time. So this wasnt a super long email but thats kinda how my weak was. I love you all so much! Stay awesome:) Happy New Year:)

Specific Prayers Bring Specific Blessings

Kumusta kayo?

It is a nice warm morning at 6:51 on our pday and I am sitting in a little computer shop before we head to SM Fairview which is a big mall here in our mission and we are going to go do some bowling which will be fun.

But this week was actually great. We really found the fruits of our efforts this week. We were blessed with 9 new investigators and 5 new baptismal dates. Now the date is just a goal for the investigators but at least they committed to a date! Elder Diso and I are really starting to get the work going in our area which was great. We visited a lot of less actives this past week and they committed to come to church! BUT they didint come haha thats kinda how it goes sometimes. We are doing our best to explain to them how important church is and some of them are starting to come back occasionally which is great. As we were searching for a less active this week ( and let me tell you it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to find address in this place. NO house has a number and if they do the house has the wrong number, so basically we just find the street or the "block" and just ask as many people as we can if they know the person we are looking for and eventually someone knows if we are lucky) and as we were searching for that less active we we asked these two girls if they knew him and they said yeah but he is in his province so we said "Oh... okay, well can we share a message with you?" and they said yeah go ahead we have nothing to do. hahah so we went ahead and we shared the restoration with them and they listened well. This past sunday Elder Diso and I set a goal to have 3 investigators at church and we really did all we can to get the investigators to come that we invited and then church came and no one came except our 10 year old investigator Noah whos legal guardians are members haha. (he is the kid in the picture) So as we were sitting in sacrament we kept getting texts from investigators saying they cant go. Well at least they texted right? But as we were sitting listening we looked to the doors and we saw some of our recent converts come in with two of their friends! THey actually told us about them last week and we expected to go visit them that sunday night but they came to church which was so awesome!! Its a couple and they have a little boy. The dad is actually pretty interested which is rare because not kidding most of the men in this area are VERY hard headed. But he was so thankful when I gave him a gospel principals and a book of mormon. And they are perfect investigators because our recent converts are their fellowshippers and they are neighbors so it works out really well for the support aspect! So the week ended well and we were happy and thankful.

So this week as I was doing companionship study with my companion we were watching an episode of the District and they were talking about involving prayer with planning and we thought of kind of a clever quote which might actually already exist but we havent heard it so we came up with it! it is SPECIFIC PRAYERS BRING SPECIFIC ANSWERS. So many of you might already know this but it is very important for us to remember. Too many times we all have experienced time where we get into wrote somewhat memorized prayers. But we need to remember that we have to be detailed with our heavenly father in order for us to receive detailed and specific blessings and answers. Thats what we tried to do this week is be more specific in prayers and we saw that heavenly father really does appreciate that and wants to help us more when we put more effort into our personal and family prayers. He can work better miracles. I know that if we do this we will feel more close to our father in heaven and he will bless all the more.

Well thats my report for the week and I love you all and again thank you all so much for the support!:) Have a great week:)
